Reindeer skins look great as wall decoration in a cabin or den, as furniture throws or decorative rugs but should not be walked or stepped on, to prevent shedding and breaking of the fur. Reindeer skins and hides should be cleaned once a year with a standard vacuum on the lowest power. This reindeer hide/reindeer skin was harvested, cleaned and professionally tanned in Finland. These skins have been cleared for legal entry into the U.S. by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and U.S. Customs.
