Wholesale polished deer cowries measuring 1 inch to 1-1/2 inches.  Lyncina vitellus, common name : the Calf Cowry or the Pacific Deer Cowry, is a species of sea snail, a cowry, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Cypraeidae, the cowries.  Polished deer cowries are shells used or making cowry shell necklaces and in seashell crafts. Cowries, family Cypraeidae, are among the most popular of all seashells. Cowries number about 200 living species. The aperture is restricted and usually toothed, the surface glossy and smooth. They are omnivorous, lay circular egg masses and sit on them. Their mantles are often as colorful as their shells.

These are commercial grade cowries and they will vary in size, coloring and some may have natural blemishes.  These are perfect for crafts and display.
