Product Details

B-Grade 2 piece lot of Turbo Marmoratus, green turban shell, measuring approximately 5 inches in length.  They will have natural imperfections from aging and living in the ocean, and may have surface cracks, chips on edges, broken tips, calcium build up, tiny holes, cuts, scratches, blemishes and scars. - Review Photos. It is a large species of marine gastropod with a calcareous operculum in the family turbinidae.   The color pattern is green, marbled with white and rich brown.  The 6-7 whorls on the turbo marmoratus are flattened or concave above, rounded and bearing two nodose keels below, and a stronger nodose carina above.  It bears blunt tubercles, especially strong on the shoulders. Its large, circular aperture has a golden, pearly shine.  The base of the shell is produced. 

All our seashells are commercial grade and are real.  They are not specimen grade.  They have been cleaned but have NOT been polished.
