We carry gar fish skulls, Atractosteus Spatula, measuring between 9 inches and 15 inches long, hand picked and photographed allowing you to see exactly what you are buying. Spotted Gar Skull (Lepisosteus Oculatus) measuring 5 inches to 8 inches long. And Longnose Gar Skull (Lepisosteus osseus) measuring 7 inches to 15 inches. These garfish skulls have been cleaned and are ready for display. The Garfish is an amazing fish native to American rivers and bays. It is known to reach over eight feet in length, and has a long snout full of needle-sharp teeth in two rows. The gar fish is an opportunistic ambush predator, it tends to float or stand still in the water, then lunge forward snatching its prey. It consumes mostly fish and invertebrates, but also birds and small mammals. Its bite can be severe, if provoked, but it is a mostly harmless fish despite its huge size and fearsome dentition.
