An Imperial volute shell can grow to 10 inches in length and are found in warm, shallow waters of the Philippines. These large and glossy shells are elongated, light to heavy in weight. The basic color is whitish, with strong red-brown ribs and narrow red-brown spiral lines with the outer lip showing many black denticles. The operculum is dark brown, thick and small.
